France: Digital Terrestrial via Satellite
Building on its thirty years of experience in the production of satellite and terrestrial systems for use both in the home and in leisure vehicles, Telecogroup introduces two receiver models, ISD74 and ISD91, which represent a great advance in the sector of Digital Terrestrial signal reception for mobile vehicles.
With these two devices, camper enthusiasts will be able to receive on board TV channels via Digital Terrestrial broadcasting, which in France are broadcast to repeaters through the ASTRA 19.2” satellite.
Both the receivers are fitted with a common interface reader to read the service access card (not included).
The Teleco technical laboratories have made some necessary adjustments to the two receivers for the camping and leisure market: the insertion of the remote control expander with an infra-red eye (MID) and the application of a 12V inverter.

Slight fall in RV registrations
This is the conclusion reached by the ECF, the main European institution in the sector. To be more precise, registrations were down about 1.1% on the same period during the previous year.
In Germany the main cause of this slight fall can be attributed to the increase in vehicle tax.
In statistical terms the number of new caravan registrations has dropped by 14.8% in Germany and by 13% in Holland, while in the United Kingdom it has increased by 4.7%.
As for the German motor-home market, it has recorded a fall of 6.8%, while there are more positive signs in France with a rise of 3.4% and the UK, which is up 6.7%, Italy included.
The ECF states that the exact variation figures will not be available until March.
