Teleco SpA participates in CAMP-CHALLENGE, an 80-day around-the-world odyssey
Over fifteen thousand kilometres across three continents in little more than two and a half months: this, then, is the goal of the fantastic journey that will involve a convoy of 20 motorhomes, which will leave Bremerhaven (Germany) on 6th June and carry on through the United States, China, Mongolia, Russia and many other countries and cities before arriving at the trade fair complex of the Düsseldorf Caravan Salon on 24th August.
Teleco SpA will be taking part in Camp-Challenge (this is the name of the project) with several accessories that have proved highly popular among Europe’s campervan owners over recent years. Project logistics have been organised by German travel agency Kuga Tours, based in Kulmbach, and Pössl, which will be placing a series of recreational vehicles at the participants’ disposal. |

The Recreational Vehicle market in Italy: more campers, fewer caravans
The ECF (European Caravan Federation) recently published European-wide recreational vehicle registration statistics. While the Italian market remains sluggish, it still retains its status as Europe’s fourth largest.
Over the course of 2007 new caravan registrations numbered 2,899, a 4.4% drop compared to the previous year. For campers, instead, there was a slight increase of 1.4%, with registrations rising from 14,400 in 2006 to 14,600 in 2007, although it should be pointed out that the ECF itself still sees this as a provisional figure.
Top of the league is the UK, with 46,412 recreational vehicle registrations, followed by Germany (38,723), France (35,743), Italy (17,499) and Holland (16,112). |
