CIVD: Economic recovery is on the way
According to a press release sent out recently by CIVD, the German association of leisure vehicle manufacturers, during the month of March 3,380 new camper vans (+32%) and 2,365 new caravans (+8.1%) were registered in Germany.
The percentages of increase refer to the same period of the previous year.
An element that should be taken into account, however, is the extremely cold weather that prevailed during the first two months of the year, causing a sudden drop in the sale of new vehicles.
The CIVD president, Hans Karl Sternberg, stated that "We'll have to wait and see how sales go over the next few weeks and months before we can tell whether this positive upturn is going to carry at the same rate. We are, however, certain that the market will continue to re-establish an equilibrium." |
