We suggest that you use leisure batteries with an overall capacity from160Ah to 300 Ah (for example 2 batteries of 100Ah)

Where to pipe the exhaust gas if evaporative coolers are used

Pipe the exhaust gas of the SELF ENERGY EG20 to the ground if evaporative coolers are used!

Where to pipe the exhaust gas if the SELF ENERGY EG20 is used for long periods of time(for example: capacity of the battery over 200Ah)

  We suggest piping the exhaust gases of the EG 20 to the roof by using the grilled chimney cowl.

How to best use the SELF ENERGY EG20 when using high wattage electrical appliances

1- Manually start the SELF ENERGY EG20

2- Use the electrical appliance (hairdryer, electronic coffee machine, etc…)

SELF ENERGY EG20 and air "CONDITIONERS"

-Use air conditioners with maximal absorption of 500w-600w
-Install leisure batteries with an overall capacity of at least 200Ah

Modality of use:

- Use conditioners for short periods of time (For example during the lunch break)
- These kind of air conditioners are normally used also when driving supplied from the motor-caravan alternator (see note 1) or on camp sites, supplied from the mains hook up (see note 2)

Note1: It is necessary to use an alternator which can supply at least 120Ah (check the manufacturer of the air conditioner's indications)
Note2: Mains hook-ups on camp sites often allow a maximum absorption of 700w

Functioning times of the SELF ENERGY EG20

The functioning times of the SELF ENERGY EG20 are always variable and depend on the electrical consumption of the appliance used, on the overall capacity of the batteries and on the operating conditions. (For example: outside temperature, state of the batteries etc.)

"START" and "STOP" thresholds

The standard values for the "start" and "stop" thresholds are the following:
start= 11,90(see note1)
stop= 14,56
note1: unless different settings requested
To check the programmed “START” and “STOP” thresholds open the control box and verify the label on top of the microcontroller.

The SELF ENERGY EG20 starts and stops according to the given thresholds, there are practically no fault possibilities.

For an instrumental check (tester), it is imperative to measure the level of tension on the terminals of the SELF ENERGY EG20 (see picture)
The values indicated on the control panel of the motor-caravan or the measurement of the tension on batteries are not significant.

Cooling air of the SELF ENERGY EG20

To further reduce the noise we suggest to pipe the cooling air and exploit its warmth to heat some external point of the motor-caravan.
